Jamango! is a browser-native gaming platform that enables anyone to create, and play user-generated game content, instantly. Anyone can start building in seconds using simple and familiar building blocks. Creators can change their environment, build at scale and even sculpt blocks to create unique shapes and structures. Every single block in the world is fully programmable, and using powerful tools such as the Wrench, creators can add logic to build fully fledged games and experiences without any coding. Jamango! is built on a proprietary game engine that runs natively in your web-browser; creators and players can invite friends instantly, simply by sharing a link.

Job Mission

The mission for this Community Manager is to contribute directly to launching the Jamango! to the world, and building our creator community from the group up. This will involve creator outreach, community management, working directly with creators to understand their needs and social media management. You will be working as part of a small, ambitious team and reporting directly to the founders and marketing consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute engaging community events and other initiatives, to foster a passionate community of mission aligned creators!

  • Act as the primary touchpoint between the Jamango! team and the community, ensuring there are clear lines of communication between the two.

  • Communicate and interact with the community daily, answering questions, providing support, and being proactive in helping members explore the Jamango! ecosystem.

  • Create highly engaging content that is tailor made for Jamango! creators and players. This may include but not limited to:

    • Promotional videos (short-format and long-format)

    • Guides and tutorials (written and in video style)

    • Demo games in Jamango!

  • Support with game feedback & bug reports, liaise with product team to help sprint planning run effectively with community voice representation

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with our online community.

  • Moderate the Jamango! community - across all social channels (primarily Discord and on-site moderation)

  • Post and schedule social content, working alongside our founders and brand marketing consultant.

  • Manage social media channels, stay organised and keep track of our content schedule and ongoing creator conversations.

  • Track all major social KPIs and work with product and marketing teams to drive business goals around retention, virality, distribution and monetisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or a strong interest in marketing and community management.

    • 3-4 years of experience

  • Excellent creative written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passion for games, and previous experience being a core part of a gaming community.

  • Deep understanding of the casual/creative gaming genre (i.e. games such as Minecraft and Roblox).

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

  • Basic knowledge of community management, outreach and marketing principles.
